Joerg Dietz
As ‘Head of Design’, SURTECO engaged our expert, Joerg Dietz, who already looks back on an impressive career: After studying Industrial Design in Kiel, he worked in various stations from design offices and in industry, including with Rolf Heide in Hamburg, and as head of design development at the kitchen manufacturer, SieMatic.
In addition, he ran a business for many years, ‘DIETZPRODUKTGESTALTUNG’, with his wife, Christina Balcke-Herlyn, who today continues to run the office in Bielefeld. The duo have launched a multitude of award-winning designs. Joerg Dietz worked freelance for, among others, Ars Nova, Venjakob, SMW, Sonae Arauco, Christian Kroeger and Villeroy & Boch. Most recently, there have been the Red Dot Product design Award 2019, the German Design Award and the Interzum Design Award 2019 for his Surteco project, ‘Compact Style’.
